Dining Options on Virgin Voyages

One of the biggest perks of cruising with Virgin Voyages is that sailors can dine at any one of the 20+ restaurants and eateries without ever worrying about an upcharge! Yes, you heard me right, all dining is included. The restaurants are the same across all of the lady ships (as of 2023) which is great for cruisers who'd like to try a new ship or itinerary but don't want to miss out on their favorite restaurant onboard! Here's a brief overview of each restaurant/eatery onboard. You can click the picture or the name of the restaurant for a more in-depth review of each!

The Wake Restaurant

THE WAKE:

With views of the ocean, The Wake is a modernized version of the mid-20th century chophouse. Dining at the Wake is an experience on its own - once you make your way down the grand staircase you'll be transported back in time to a big city steakhouse from years past. The Wake is open for breakfast/brunch, lunch and dinner daily and features a variety of benedicts, crepes and more on the brunch menu, steaks for lunch & a wide selection of seafood, steak & chicken at dinner. Pro Tip: On a sea day, head over to the Wake for brunch and add on the bottomless mimosas, rose, sparkling wine or Bloody Mary's for just $25!

Razzle Dazzle Restaurant

RAZZLE DAZZLE:

Open for breakfast, dinner and an all-day boozy brunch Razzle Dazzle is one of the most popular restaurants onboard Virgin Voyages. With a menu that leans vegetarian, you'll also find plenty of options for the meat lovers in your group as well. And if you're craving something a little more health-conscious this is going to be a great option for you. Start your day with a probiotic hash or a waffle. Stop by at lunch for an impossible burger or a cobb salad and cookies and then return for dinner for roasted cauliflower, salmon or fried chicken if you're feeling a little naughty. You can enjoy the $25 bottomless brunch here as well! Pro Tip: Stop by Razzle Dazzle at least one night of your voyage - you'll love the disco vibe, dimmed lights and neon signs.

The Pink Agave

THE PINK AGAVE:

This in NOT your standard Tex-Mex Restaurant. Think traditional Mexican cuisine in an upscale venue. Open only for dinner, you may want to book reservations for The Pink Agave as soon as your reservation window opens! The menu includes small plates like guacamole and street corn as well as larger dinner option including chicken enchiladas, roasted duck and steak. This venue also features the largest selection of tequila and mezcal at sea. Pro Tip: Get dressed up, you will definitely want to take photos in the entrance before heading in for dinner!

Gunbae Restaurant

GUNBAE:

This is probably my favorite dining concept of all on Virgin Voyages. It's a great place to meet other sailors as you'll be seated at a table of 6 for this interactive dining experience. You'll start your meal with some fun, interactive drinking games led by the restaurant host and then choose from a wide variety of Korean small bites, rise, noodles, and BBQ that you can grill right at your table. Gunbae also features an extensive drink list with many Korean inspired cocktails, sake and a full bar so you can order your favorite cocktail if you're not in the mood to try something new!

Extra Virgin Restaurant

Extra Virgin:

This is not your local Olive Garden, we'll just get that out of the way first! If you're looking for the best Italian food at sea you'll want to have dinner at Extra Virgin on your next cruise. Known for their handmade pastas, you'll also love the calamari, braised mini meatballs, sea bass and the tableside affogato. You'll love it so much that you'll probably want to dine here more than once, but with so many options onboard you should probably just book another cruise! Extra virgin is only open for dinner so you may want to make reservations on your Sailor app if you plan to dine here!

Test Kitchen

TEST KITCHEN:

Yet another dining concept that is totally unique to Virgin Voyages, the Test Kitchen is another one of my favorites. Inspired by Escoffier's Ma Cuisine, imagine The Test Kitchen as a lab for creating amazing, unique dishes. Another thing that makes the Test Kitchen unique is the menu...or the lack of one. Instead you'll receive a list of ingredients (there are options for both vegetarians and meat eaters) and what happens next will be a surprise! What you can expect is multiple courses that are artfully prepared and presented. Pro Tip: If you enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail be sure to try something from the pairing menu.

The Dock House

THE DOCK HOUSE:

If you're looking for Mediterranean inspired small-bites in a relaxed atmosphere, you'll love The Dock House. There is plenty of seating, including couches, chairs and even a daybed making it a great place to catch up on emails using the ship's free wifi while you enjoy a a glass of rosé or a Mediterranean-inspired cocktail and delicious small plates including grilled shrimp, octopus, chocolate hummus and more! Did we mention that The Dock House has the largest selection of rosé wine on the ship?

The Dock

THE DOCK:

The Dock features the same Mediterranean-inspired menu as The Dock House, just outdoors. Located at the aft of the ships, The Dock offers multiple seating options including tables, barstools and daybeds. Combine the refreshing drinks, small bites, live acoustic menu with a view of the wake off the back of the ship and you've got the recipe for a perfect afternoon.

The Pizza Place

THE PIZZA PLACE:

Pizza on a cruise ship that hasn't been sitting under warmers? Sign me up!! You can either order from the menu, which includes options ranging from a standard pepperoni pizza to eclectic favorites like a White Truffle & Egg pizza. Or create your very own pie by choosing everything from the dough and cheese to the toppings you'd like to try. You'll love this beach-inspired pizzeria for a quick bite before continuing on with your day.

Add: The Social Club, The Galley, Noodle Around, Lick my till Ice Scream, & Ship Eats

The Social Club

THE SOCIAL CLUB

I just love this dining concept as it reminds me of going to carnivals as a kid. Named the Social Club because of of the bar next door that features a wide variety of pub-style and arcade games including air hockey, foosball, sand curling and some of your favorite old school arcade games. Grab a boozy shake or float and a hot dog (they offer a vegetarian option!) You can also snack on popcorn, pretzels and cracker jacks at The Social Club. It's a great stop for lunch or an evening snack before a show or hitting the club!

The Galley

THE GALLEY:

Honestly, Virgin just has all the best ideas. The Galley is yet another amazing dining concept with so many options you'll never want to leave! It features a mix of shops and food truck style carts and each locations has its own concept with dishes that change throughout the day. Here's a quick overview of what you'll find at the Galley.

  1. The Daily Mix: Features fast breakfast items including bagels & hot/cold cereal and soups & salads for lunch.

  2. Burger Bar: Stop at breakfast for some of pancakes, french toast or a french toast burger and come back for lunch to grab a beef or impossible burger and fries.

  3. Diner & Dash: If you wake up late but are in the mood for breakfast this is the spot for you. The menu features an all-day breakfast with omelettes and your favorite traditional egg breakfast plates. You can also grab a French Dip here for lunch or dinner!

  4. Grounds Club Too: The spot for specialty coffees, lattes, mochas, hot chocolate and more! You can also add a shot to your coffee drink for a little extra kick!

  5. Let's Taco 'Bout It: You'll find both breakfast tacos and a lunch menu with tacos and fish

  6. Noodle Around: Stop here for breakfast or lunch and grab udon or ramen noodles. This is another one of my favorites on the lady ships!

  7. Bento Baby: At breakfast you'll find a selection of fruit bento boxes with a variety of fruit or berries, yogurt and pomegranate seeds and at lunch they serve a variety of sushi rolls. You'll find vegetarian options here for both breakfast and lunch.

  8. Hot off the Press: Another fun concept, you'll find open faced and toasted sandwich options for breakfast (try the crunchy PB&J Brioche). At lunch Hot off the Press has a decent sized selection of open faced sandwiches, panini's and a salad option!
