One of the reasons that I love cruising with Royal Caribbean is the quality and variety of the restaurants available onboard their ships. Royal Caribbean is constantly adding innovative new offerings to their fleet when it comes to restaurants but the one you will find on every single ship is Chops Grille. If you're a food enthusiast with a taste for the finer things in life, you'll find that Chops Grille offers a gourmet experience that rivals the best land-based restaurants. In this blog post, we'll go over everything that you need to know about dining at Chops Grille on your next Royal Caribbean Cruise.
Chops Grille Overview
Chops Grille is Royal Caribbean's signature steakhouse, and it is a testament to the cruise line's commitment to delivering top-tier dining experiences. When you step into Chops Grille, you'll be welcomed by an elegant ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary adventure.
Chops Grille specializes in fine cuts of meat, and the menu reflects this dedication to quality. While the menu may vary slightly from ship to ship, you can expect to find a menu that includes steaks, lamb, chicken and seafood selections as well as a varied selection of appetizers, sides and desserts.
Cost, Dress Code & Reservations
Chops Grille is not included in your base cruise fare. Current pricing starts at $25.00 for lunch and $55.00 for dinner. This includes your full meal but alcoholic beverages are sold separately. You can use your drink package for beverages while dining at Chops Grille. It is worth noting that Royal Caribbean uses "dynamic pricing" which means the prices can vary based on your ship and sailing. Once you book a cruise you can double check the price of Chops Grille using the Cruise Planner. PRO TIP: If you know you want to dine at Chops Grill you can save some money by making your reservation via the website prior to your cruise as you'll usually find it 10% off. Chops Grill is open for lunch on sea days only and is open for dinner nightly. You can make reservations via the Royal Caribbean app up to 2 days before you sailing and you can also make reservations once you are on board the ship.
Royal Caribbean lists the dress code for Chops Grille as smart casual. I have never found Royal Caribbean to be very strict about their dress codes but generally speaking smart casual means collared shirts and dress pants for men, dresses, skirts or pantsuits for women. Jackets, sports coats and blazers are not required but are definitely welcome! If you're like me and enjoy dressing up on a cruise, Chops Grille is the restaurant to go all out for!
