When you book a Virgin Voyages cruise, you can wave goodbye to unexpected fees for Wi-Fi, gratuities, dining in specialty restaurants, or fitness classes. Depending on how you cruise, these included amenities can add up to hundreds of dollars ore more on a single cruise. Gratuities, not included in other lines base pricing, generally run about $20/day per person. Also, a portion of all of the revenue they receive from Shore Things (what you'd call an excursion on other ships) is donated to non-profit partners.
